Acerca de este juego

Le Roy des Ribauds is a card game adaptation of the famous comic series created by Vincent Brugeas and Ronan Toulhoat. At the beginning of the game, each player is dealt a hand of 3 cards, and a row of 4 face-down cards, called the Court, is created. There are 4 type of cards: Roi (King) , Reine (Queen), Chevalier (Knight) and Assassin (Rogue). On their turn, a player can either flip a card on the Court, revealing it, or play one of the cards from their hand to replace a card already on the Court. The player may put their card face-up, activating its effect, or face-down. Each type of card has its own effect, and the Roi (King), the Reine (Queen) and the Assassin (Rogue) have their own victory conditions, called conspiracies. Be the first to fulfill one of these conspiracies to win the game! Le Roy des Ribauds is a tense and strategic, yet deceptively simple card game, that'll allow you to immerse yourself into the rich universe of medieval France. —description from the publisher

Reglas que debes conocer

Las reglas más útiles para jugar bien la primera partida.

Card play

Revealing a Court card via a King's effect does not trigger the revealed card's effect.

When you play a King card and use its effect to reveal a face-down card in the Court, the revealed card's own effect is NOT activated. The reveal is purely informational or positional — only the King's effect resolves. The revealed card remains in the Court and its effect will only trigger under the normal conditions that would cause it to activate (e.g., when it is played from hand or otherwise resolved through standard game rules).

Preguntas frecuentes y casos límite

A player plays a King and uses its effect to reveal a card in the Court. Does the revealed Court card's effect activate?

No. When a King's effect is used to reveal a card in the Court, the revealed card's effect is explicitly NOT activated. Only the King's own effect resolves. The revealed card stays in the Court without triggering any ability it may have.
