Explore the heavens for technology that will destroy the asteroid called “Wormwood” before it reaches Earth. Somewhere In The Heavens… They Are Waiting is a fully cooperative, action-adventure experience based on the beloved Mac computer game "Marathon", for 2 to 6 players. It’s the year 2155 and a large asteroid is headed toward Earth. It’s estimated that the asteroid, dubbed Wormwood, will reach earth’s atmosphere in 24 days. Meanwhile, you are an officer aboard the Gryphon, an AI controlled space cruiser, when your employer alerts you of your next mission. It sounds simple enough. A standard security check on an abandoned nuclear power facility. You will slowly uncover truths that connect to the fast approaching artifact. Players will use an action point system to navigate through space finding the necessary technologies needed to stop the asteroid. One player will play as the ship A.I., Gabriel, using a web app to guide the 1-5 Officer players on planetary missions to accomplish the goals necessary to win. Officer players will acquire suit armor upgrades and weapons upgrades to fight against the threats attempting to keep the asteroid on its course.
