From the publisher's web site: The Games: Blood and Spectacle are a set of free wargames rules for gladiator games. From the game's introduction: Welcome to The Games: Blood and Spectacle. In these pages you will find a game that allows you to play out the infamous blood contests between slave warriors of the Roman era. You will be a Lanista, the slave master, owner, and business man who dealt in blood and spectacle for profit. Your management and commands will lead your Gladiator troupe to glory, honor, and immortality; or death and poverty. Will you beg for mercy, or triumph for the crowds?
