Harbourside Haven is a thriving community of fruit and vegetable growers who rise with the sun, tending to orchards heavy with fruit, greenhouses bursting with vegetables, and fields alive with the colours of the season. Try your hand as a fruit or vegetable grower navigating shifting policies, unpredictable weather, social headwinds, and financial uncertainty – all of which reshape what’s possible from year to year. In each of the 6 game rounds, you’ll assign workers to tasks that help develop your farm, deciding how to spend your limited resources, how much to invest in new productive land, and how best to support the environment and community. But you’re not on your own. Throughout the game, you’ll face dilemmas drawn from the daily realities of growing fruit and vegetables in New Zealand. These dilemmas may affect the whole community, and players must often decide how to respond together. At the end of the game, the winner is the player with the best lifestyle and the most productive land. However, there can only be a winner if the players haven’t collectively stuffed up the environment or community.
