Acerca de este juego

One player is Farmer Brown, others play Wabbits. All players battle for points: plowing fields in Spring (even the Wabbits!), stockpiling carrots in Summer, whomping enemies in Fall, and destroying buildings in Winter. Think Elmer Fudd and Bugs Bunny fighting over the operation of a farm. Just like in the cartoons, players can mail away for items to help them in squashing the other players. Preparación

1. Lay out the farm map with its seasonal spaces (fields, barnyard, pond, highway, buildings, holes, home spaces, mailbox). 2. Each player sets up their characters at their respective home spaces. 3. Deal each player a starting hand of 3 cards. 4. Assign Critters, Robot, and Monster to the appropriate player's side. 5. The Sleeping Hand begins inactive and must be woken by the Farmer or Dog before it can act. 6. Begin play in Spring. Adjust rules and available actions as seasons change.

Flujo del turno

On your turn, follow these steps in order: 1. Discard up to three cards, then refill your hand back up to three cards. 2. Move one of your characters. 3. Attack with that character (if the character did NOT move this step, they gain +1 to their attack roll). 4. Repeat steps 2 and 3 for your other character. At ANY point during your turn (between or during steps), you may play any number of cards. After each card played, immediately draw back up to three cards. Cards drawn this way can be played on the same turn.

Puntuación y victoria

Most victory points at end of game wins. Farmer Brown scores for surviving buildings; Wabbit players score for whomping opponents, plowing fields, delivering carrots, and destroying buildings. Fuentes de puntuación: Whomping a character: 1 point for attacker, Plowing a field with tractor in Spring: 2 points, Delivering a carrot to correct destination in Summer: 2 points, Delivering the last hit to destroy a building: points scored (amount per building), Farmer Brown: points for each building still standing at game end

Reglas que debes conocer

Las reglas más útiles para jugar bien la primera partida.

Turn structure

Each turn has four ordered steps: discard/draw, move character 1, attack with character 1, then move and attack with character 2.

On your turn, perform the following steps in order: (1) Discard up to three cards from your hand, then draw back up to three cards. (2) Move one of your characters. (3) Attack with that same character. If you did NOT move that character in step 2, that character gains +1 to their attack. (4) Repeat steps 2 and 3 for your other character.

Card play

Cards can be played at any time during your turn; draw back to 3 after each card played.

At any point during your turn, you may play any number of cards. After playing each card, immediately draw back up to three cards. You may play cards drawn this way during the same turn, even if you just picked them up.

Combat

Attack = fixed bonus + weapon/vehicle modifier + dice roll. If attack total equals or exceeds defender's printed defense, defender is whomped.

To resolve an attack: calculate Attack = attacker's fixed bonus + any weapon or vehicle modifier + dice roll result. Compare against the defender's printed Defense value. If the attack total is equal to or greater than the defender's Defense, the defender is whomped (defeated in that exchange).

Combat

When whomped: defender loses weapon/vehicle (attacker may pick them up), defender returns to home space, attacker scores 1 point.

When a character is whomped: (1) The defender loses their weapon and vehicle. The attacker may immediately pick them up. (2) The defender's character is sent back to their home space. (3) The attacker gains 1 victory point.

Combat

If a character did not move before attacking, they receive +1 to their attack.

During the attack phase of a character's turn segment, if that character was not moved in the preceding move step, they gain +1 to their attack total. This bonus applies only when the character stays in place before attacking.

Combat

A character at their home space gains +2 to their defense.

When a character is located on their own home space, they receive a +2 bonus added to their printed Defense value for any incoming attack.

Combat

Any Wabbit inside a hole gains +2 defense. Only one Wabbit per hole.

Any Wabbit character occupying a hole space receives +2 to their printed Defense value against incoming attacks. Only one character (of any type) may occupy a single hole at a time.

Combat

Shotgun can target characters up to 2 spaces away but cannot shoot through building walls (inside to outside or vice versa).

A character equipped with a Shotgun may target any character within 2 spaces. However, a Shotgun cannot be used to attack from inside a building targeting someone outside, nor from outside targeting someone inside a building. The building wall blocks Shotgun line of fire in both directions.

Informe estratégico

Stationary Attack Advantage

If one of your characters is already in an optimal attack position, consider skipping their move to gain the +1 attack bonus. This can be the difference between whomping a high-defense target or not.

Hole Positioning for Defense

Wabbits gain +2 defense in holes, plus holes can be dug almost anywhere. Digging a hole near the enemy's path creates a fortified ambush point where you can attack each turn with the +1 no-move bonus while enjoying +2 defense.

Weapon Economy

When you whomp an opponent, you can immediately pick up their weapon and vehicle. Prioritize whomping well-equipped characters to strip powerful weapons like the Cannon from your opponent and use them yourself.

Seasonal Objective Switching

Each season changes the primary scoring source. Don't get so caught up in combat (worth 1 point per whomp) that you miss the 2-point carrot deliveries in Summer or the 2-point field plowing in Spring. Plan your character positions ahead of the season change.

Card Hand Management

Since you can play as many cards as you want per turn and draw back to 3 after each, there is never a reason to hoard cards. Dump your worst cards in the discard step (up to 3) and aggressively cycle through cards during your turn to find the ones you need.

Farmer: Fall Hunter Aggression

The 3 Fall hunters with shotguns vanish at Winter — use them aggressively during Fall to whomp Wabbits, strip their weapons, and score points before losing this temporary advantage.

Wabbit: Prioritize Cannon for Winter

Buildings have Defense 17 and can only be attacked in Winter (unless using H-bomb). The Cannon, which has unlimited range and no building restrictions, is the ideal weapon for Wabbits to have entering Winter. Secure it before the season changes.

Farmer: Building Survival as Endgame Score

Farmer Brown scores for every building still standing at game end. Even if Wabbits are ahead in combat points, protecting buildings is a reliable scoring engine — prioritize characters near buildings in Winter to intercept attackers before they can target structures.

Preguntas frecuentes y casos límite

If I play a card that affects my character but don't physically move them to a new space, do I still get the +1 attack bonus?

The +1 attack bonus applies when the character is not moved during their move step. If a card effect does not move the character to a new space, the bonus should still apply. Only physically moving the character in step 2 of your turn negates the bonus.

If a Wabbit is in a hole that happens to be dug on their home space, do both the +2 hole defense and +2 home defense bonuses stack?

The rules state home location gives +2 defense and holes give +2 defense separately. If a hole is dug on a home space, both bonuses would logically apply, giving +4 total defense. However, confirm with players before the game as the rulebook does not explicitly address this overlap.

Can a character with a Shotgun shoot a Wabbit who is inside a hole that is next to (but outside) a building?

Yes. The Shotgun restriction only applies to shooting between the inside and outside of buildings. A hole in the open field is not inside a building, so a Shotgun can target a Wabbit in an outdoor hole within 2 spaces freely.

Can the H-bomb destroy a building before Winter, and who scores the points?

Yes. The H-bomb is the only weapon that may attack buildings before Winter. If the H-bomb delivers the last hit that destroys the building, whoever controlled the attacking character scores the building destruction points.

Do characters still need to roll dice when moving through the pond during Winter?

No. During Winter the pond freezes, making it a safe space. The hazard dice roll that normally applies to the pond (whomped on 10 or less) does not apply while the pond is frozen.

What happens to the 3 Fall hunters and any weapons they are carrying when Winter begins?

The 3 hunters disappear (are removed from the game) when Winter starts. The rulebook does not specify what happens to their weapons — house-rule recommended: weapons drop to the hunters' last location for any player to pick up.

If I deliver order cards to the mailbox, can my opponent pick them up and use them against me?

Yes. Once order cards are revealed and delivered to the mailbox, any player's character that passes by or is at the mailbox may pick them up, including your opponent.

If the Sleeping Hand gets whomped, does it go back to sleep immediately or at some other point?

Every time the Sleeping Hand is whomped it returns to its inactive (sleeping) state and must be woken again by the Farmer or Dog before it can act. It cannot move or attack while sleeping.

Can the Cannon shoot targets inside a building from outside (or vice versa), unlike the Shotgun?

Yes. The Cannon can shoot anything anywhere with no restrictions, explicitly overriding the building-wall limitation that applies to the Shotgun.

If I play a card and immediately draw a new card to refill to 3, can I play that newly drawn card on the same turn?

Yes. The rules explicitly state you can play cards you just picked up during the same turn. There is no restriction on playing freshly drawn cards.
