A Mad Endeavor: The Fight for Stony Point, July 16, 1779
Paul Rohrbaugh (2026)
Dossier
The British outpost at Stony Point along the Hudson River prevented any movement by the American along this crucial waterway. It also allowed the British nearly unfettered transit that could cut off the New England colonies from the rest of United States. Such a position had to be taken and reduced. To that end, General Washington ordered General “Mad” Anthony Wayne to assemble a strike force to take Stoney Point by assault. What ensued was one of the most daring assaults in the Revolutionary War. Can you as the British player hold off the Rebel’s attack at Stony Point? Will you as the Americans take the Loyalist stronghold to help secure New England’s position in the revolution? Learn and enjoy! —description from the publisher
