Dossier

The classic economic strategy game from acclaimed designer Uwe Rosenberg, At the Gates of Loyang, is back with a brand new second edition. This game rewards careful planning, clever trading, and tactical use of resources. China, 2000 years ago. Loyang (Luòyáng) capital of the Han Dynasty, flourishes as one of the great centers of ancient civilization. The growing city hungers for fresh food, and local farmers rise to the challenge - cultivating wheat, pumpkins, turnips, cabbages, beans, and leeks in the fertile fields surrounding the city walls. After each harvest, they gather at the gates of Loyang to sell, trade, and expand their farms, vying to become the most prosperous farmer. This second edition includes an all new cooperative mode by Ralph Bruhn and ode. In the cooperative mode you are asked to provide the City Festival with vegetables, and to fulfill special requests for certain customers. You are confident you can deliver vegetables, serve customers, collect donations . . . and still assure your own prosperity. But can you keep your promises? Work together as a team to try to manage all the appointed tasks.
