About this game

Audatia is a two-player historic, sword-fighting card game based upon a medieval knightly sword-fighting system. The goal is to achieve "touches," rather than damage. Players start with all guard cards and 4 actions (diagonal up/down cuts). An additional 6 action cards are also drawn. Each round of play takes a few minutes to finish with a total of 3-5 touches in a complete game. Both players have a hand of guards with each guard allowing a determined amount of plays with three plays the general standard. Players also have a hand of action cards (blows, thrusts or techniques such as counter-attacks or parries) Once an action card is played, it is discarded leading to one player running out of options, and a touch scored.
