About

Cards & Command is a World War II–themed tactical card game for 1v1 or 2v2 play in which players command infantry, tanks, aircraft, artillery, and a commander across a grid-based battlefield. Each player builds an army from a deck of unit cards, deploys forces from their headquarters, and uses movement, combat, and special abilities to outmaneuver the opposing side. The game emphasizes accessible strategy with meaningful unit positioning, reinforcement management, and combined-arms tactics. Gameplay is played in alternating turns, each consisting of four phases: deployment, movement, attack, and reinforcement. Infantry and tanks move across the battlefield to engage adjacent enemies, while combat is resolved with dice based on each unit's firepower and attack values. Units can take two hits before being destroyed, and special cards such as artillery, aircraft, fighters, and doctrine cards introduce unique tactical options that can change the course of a battle. The objective is straightforward: destroy the enemy commander. In a 1v1 game, eliminating the opposing commander immediately wins the game. In a 2v2 game, a player whose commander is destroyed is eliminated, and their remaining cards are discarded; victory is achieved when one team destroys both opposing commanders. Success comes from protecting your own commander while coordinating attacks, reinforcing your army, and using your units' strengths to break through enemy defenses. -description from publisher
