Caribbean Star is a commissioned game from James Ernest for the game design textbook "Rules of Play", by Katie Salen and Eric Zimmerman. Caribbean Star is a card game played with a standard deck of cards. The opponents are competing magicians on a cruise ship, and each strives to perform the best magic shows. Some of the cards represent magic tricks, and others mistakes. Still others determine when the shows will be performed.
