About

Censura ("Censorship") is a cooperative card game about the fight against the Brazilian Military Dictatorship. Between 1964 and 1985, censorship in Brazil tried to silence artists, newspapers, students, social movements, and opposing politicians. But the resistance took to the streets, the ballot boxes, the stages, the books, the songs, and popular movements. Follow the timeline until you're needed to fulfill a mission: Checking your teammates' card back color, try to arrange in silence the 3 organization types of cards: Social Movements, Artists and Politicians. Each new mission provides new challenges. But beware, the military are watching. Not always will you be allowed to play the card you wish at the time you wish. New decrees block players' actions. Luckily, as history progresses, famous personalities who fought against the Dictatorship will emerge to help you overcome challenges together. Break the Censorship. Democracy is at the table. —description from the designer
