About

CHACO: Classic Infantry Warfare in the Thirties - The Chaco War, Bolivia vs. Paraguay, 1932-35 is an Operational level board-wargame simulation of the military events of the Chaco War, fought between Bolivia and Paraguay from July, 1932 to July, 1935. The basic game is a regimental simulation of the conduct of the war, using primarily infantry forces in historical dispositions. The advanced game, Gran Chaco, covers specific military innovations and strategic considerations individually, allowing players insights onto the variable effects these innovations can have on military operations. The map represents part of the Gran Chaco region, thought to contain oil and disputed places by the nations it spans. Players simulate the territorial disputes in six-month turns over 10 mile hexes of terrain.
