The date: June 6th 1944. World War II is in its’ fifth year. The Axis Powers of Germany, Italy and Japan tried to rule the world and nearly succeed. Many countries fell. In response the USA, England, Russia and others Allied. Struggling, the Allies fought on until a decision to was made to risk an amphibious invasion on the fortified French cost of Normandy held by Germany, Designated, “Operation Overlord” and also known as “D-Day”. The invasion was meant to establish a foothold on mainland Europe. Those first hours would tell, if WWII would end soon or continue indefinitely. D Day Front Line, lets us imagine the desperate hours when valiant men bulldogged their way through a rain of fire, to valiantly face, Sentinels of Axis might. D Day is for 2 -3 players, ages 13 and up, lasting 1-2 hours, shorter games are possible. One or two players represent the Allies [Yanks (USA)/ Brits (England)] vs a lone Axis (German) player. Most games last 5 rounds, made of 4 turns per round. When a 4th turn ends, the round completes and another round begins, except for turn four of round five, ending the game. Lastly players review the Victory Points, on VP Track, to determine the winning side. The game can also end as an Allied Win at once: When any turn ends with the VP Marker on the 9-12 Victory Points space.
