Der Wilddieb

Der Wilddieb (Poacher) is played with 9 pieces. The 4 green pieces represent the foresters and are placed on the green squares. The 4 yellow pieces are the dogs, which protect the poacher; they are placed on the yellow squares at the top right or top left. The poacher (black piece) stands on the black square behind them.

Rules: Each side takes a turn. Pieces can move forwards or backwards. The foresters must try to trap the poacher so that he cannot make any further moves. The poacher wins if he reaches the black square at the bottom edge of the board. Jumping over pieces is not allowed.
