Everlore
(2026)
Dossier
Everlore is a high-fantasy adventure board game where players explore a richly detailed world through freeform exploration, narrative-driven quests, and strategic character development. Players begin by spawning at different locations on the board and customising their characters through a card-based system, selecting race, class, faith, and destiny, which influence their starting stats: strength, agility, perception, intelligence, endurance, nobility, and timing. The game offers flexible play sessions, with either a single 15-turn round (75 minutes), a seven-round campaign (105 turns), or multiple sessions, akin to traditional role-playing games like Dungeons & Dragons. During their turn, players move across tiles to reach various locations such as farms, towns, forts, ruins, docks, and caves, each offering unique opportunities such as trading, battling monsters, acquiring items, or making impactful choices that influence their karma and destiny. Players can explore independently or in parties, engaging in quests, guild activities, and strategic conquests at citadels, all presented through choose-your-own-adventure style narratives. Encounters with non-player characters, event markers, and monster battles provide rewards like cards and experience points, while the outcome of these decisions shapes their journey and progress toward the endgame. The ultimate goal is to collect all five Evergems by completing guild storylines to confront the Endgame Boss, the Enchantress. Success depends on strategic exploration, completing quests, and managing resources, with the fate of the world hanging in the balance. Failing to gather all Evergems results in the Bad Ending, while players who succeed are rewarded with epilogues detailing their ultimate fate. Everlore emphasises player choice, exploration, and narrative depth, creating a dynamic and immersive experience. —description from the publisher
