This is game #6 in the Games on Half a Checkerboard Series. F.I.L.O is a sowing game like those in the Mancala family. Unlike games normally found in the Mancala family, F.I.L.O uses a first in, last out (FILO) mechanism for sowing pieces on the board, which is the basis of its name. This mechanism, combined with the attributes of the 8x4 board, takes F.I.L.O in directions not normally seen with games in the Mancala family.
