Dossier
The game is played on a 5x5 spaces board with 25 double sided pieces. The first player takes 13 playing pieces and 2 flip gems and the second player takes 12 playing pieces and 3 flip gems. There are no pieces on the board to start. On their turn, the player must place a playing piece showing their color on the board on any open space. Other than being unoccupied, there are no limitations on which space can be used. When placing a piece "sandwiches" an opponent's piece(s) vertically, horizontally or diagonally, the player flips all sandwiched pieces to their own color. During their turn, a player can use one of their flip gems instead of placing a piece. This enables them to turn over any one opponent piece on the board. If flipping a piece using the gem creates a sandwich of the opponents other piece(s), the player flips all of the sandwiched pieces to their color. Once a flip gem has been played it cannot be used for the remainder of the game. When both players have finished all of their turns, the game is over. The player who has the most pieces of their color on the board wins the game.
