About

A century after the Flarestorms began and brought an end to the digital age humanity has stabilized, but now finds itself locked in a struggle to define the future. Roving bands of searchers pick through the abandoned cities of the world for forgotten pieces of OldTech for their own ends, fighting brutal desperate battles with the weapons of this new world, finely crafted repeating flintlocks, sun charged sinew and blade, attack wolves and crossbows. These are their stories... Fray! Flarestorm is a board based skirmish game that brings a fresh new take on the skirmish genre with an eye toward realistic simulation of small scale conflict, doing away with many of the shortcomings that have plagued the skirmish genre while introducing new mechanics that simulate simultaneous action, in a system that could be applied to virtually any genre or setting. —description from the designer
