About

Gettysburg Soldiers gaming rulebook for the ACW Designed to recreate historical battles or create new ones. The game has special provisions to simulate the element of surprise, the ebb and flow of momentum, and the fog of battle. Basing is flexible and compatible with most other rulesets. The Gettysburg Soldiers rules use Infantry Regiments, Cavalry Regiments and Artillery Batteries as the basic units of battle. Each player in a game assumes the role of a General or commander, and directs the actions of the various troops on the tabletop battlefield. Players will decide when and were to maneuver their troops to aggressively take the battle to the enemy and when to react defensively if troops under their command retreat or rout. Victory or defeat is determined by winning the objectives of a game scenario, inflicting more causalities, and controlling portions of the battlefield. Scales: figures: 10mm-15mm-25mm 1 mini = 50 men 1 cannon model = 1 arty battery 1" = 25 yd
