Home Before The Leaves...FALL!
About this game
This game is based on a paradox. The fact that two armies went to war with modern equipment, and tactics based on experiences of another century. The belief that the bayonet and the massed charge of men and horses was mightier than machine guns and rapid firing field artillery, that stuck in the minds of the Generals and statesmen, even when proved wrong. The beginning of the 1914-1918 saw a "mobile war" of sort, a planned "blitzkrieg" of marching men and railway timetables that broke down. Could it have succeeded? This game cannot give an answer, only a hint. Game includes 1 tabloid-size map, 3 pgs. of rules, 88 counters (unmounted), and charts. This appears to be a game taken from Combat magazine. Description verbiage is taken verbatim from the game.
