Which is the best herding dog in the valley of the hungry wolves? Shouting “Woof!” and “Baa” the players move round the meadow. It’s now or never to catch up with the next dog and be the first to collect three sheep and win this romping die game for 2-4 players. Hungry Wolves (Würfelwölfe) is a hectic action game with dice. The players circle a flock of sheep with their herding dogs. All players throw their dice simultaneously and have to perform an action as fast as possible depending on the dice throw, e.g. saying "Woof!" or running around the table. Also, the movement of the dog depends on the dice throw. As soon as the action is performed, the dice throwing continues. When one dog reaches or overtakes another, the round ends and the faster dog gets a sheep from the flock as a reward. The game is on the recommendation list of the SdJ-jury 2009.
