IL Capo is a bite-sized, fast-paced, ruthless card game for 2-6 players who compete to become the ruler of the underbelly of a gutter-glamorous, fictional city called Serenissima. The rules are simple enough to teach in minutes but the interactions create depth that reward timing, creativity, and embracing danger. The fun continues even if you lose. Players draw, attack, and defend from a shared deck of cards. Hidden throughout the deck are skull cards that bring players one step closer to the afterlife. The last player left standing becomes the seedy ruler: Il Capo. For those who are eliminated along the way, death is not the end; it’s just a change in job description. Il Capo hands you supernatural tools to haunt the table, tip the balance, and chase revenge from beyond the grave. Death becomes part of the strategy, not the end of it. Pick your poison of play-style: clever, cutthroat, or chaotic. All are welcome. Bring in the Guards mechanic for added tension and strategic depth, or strip it down to a 1v1 duel.
