Jogo da Cachola
(2016)
Dossier
Cachola is a memory game featuring 42 wooden tokens, six colorful boxes, and a colored die. Each token displays an illustration on a colored background, and tokens are paired by matching background colors with related images — such as a mouse and a piece of cheese, or a birthday cake and a gift. The game offers two modes of play. In the classic mode, all tokens are shuffled and placed face-down on the table. Players take turns flipping two tokens, trying to find a matching pair that shares the same background color and a logical connection between their illustrations. A successful match earns the pair and another turn. In the box mode, one token is hidden under each colored box and players must memorize which figure is where. On their turn, a player rolls the die, names the figure they believe is hidden under the matching colored box, and then reveals it. A correct guess earns the token and a new one is placed underneath for everyone to memorize. In both modes, the game ends when all tokens have been claimed, and the player with the most wins.
