Dossier

In Micro Hero: Achilles, the legendary Greek hero is no longer a warrior, but a demanding coach training an Olympic team. With your entire deck held in your hand, you develop your athletes, organize their progression, and optimize their positioning to build the most efficient training cycle possible. The game is played over four Training cycles. During each cycle, you interact with a limited number of visible cards, choosing whether to assign athletes to your Support Area to generate resources, or to train them to higher levels. As athletes grow stronger, they unlock new abilities and scoring potential. Managing your resources, timing your upgrades, and controlling the order in which cards cycle through your hand are key to building a powerful and consistent system. Unlike traditional card games, the order of your deck is central to the experience. Every action influences how your cards will reappear in future cycles, turning your deck into a structured sequence that you must carefully plan and refine. Additional objectives, called Trials, guide your strategy and reward efficient play throughout the game. At the end of the fourth Training cycle, you score points based on your athletes’ levels, their position in the deck, and your coach’s final state. The goal is to achieve the highest level of prestige by creating the most optimized and well-organized training engine. —description from the publisher
