In Omega: The Dome, players are wealthy highrollers from across the galaxy betting on 12 outrageous Gladiators as they battle for survival inside The Dome. Players wager chips on which Gladiators they think will win, secretly place Death Bets on Gladiators they think will be eliminated, and manipulate the arena with cards, powers, and timely interference. On a turn, a player bets on living Gladiators, plays a card, may use a Gladiator power if they have the most chips on that Gladiator, then refills their hand. Gladiator cards set or change a Gladiator’s strength, Star cards can be played on any Gladiator, and Event cards create sudden twists. As the board fills, the arena becomes increasingly unstable. Once the board fills, the game enters its Omega Rounds. In each Omega Round, players take turns trying to protect their investments, sabotage rivals, and decide which Gladiator will be left weakest. At the end of each Omega Round, the lowest-strength Gladiator dies, chips bet on that Gladiator are lost, and matching Death Bets pay out. The game ends after the Omega Rounds are complete. Players earn chips from successful Death Bets, surviving Gladiators they backed, and the final Omega Champion payout. The player with the most chips at the end wins. —description from the publisher
