About

Tanuki Market is a set collection game with simultaneous play in which you are tanuki tasked to steal fruits from the Grandma's grocery store and create the most diverse and beautiful display of fruits on your tables. Gather strawberries, figs, bananas, pineapples and watermelons before Grandma comes back to scold you and do your best to impress the tanuki family. At the beginning of each round, the player holding the Polo card, draws fruit cards and distribute them among the different carts. During this time and at any time, players can race to grab one cart and display its fruits on their five tables. Each table gives a different value to the fruits it holds, ranging from one to five points. Each table can only hold one kind of fruit and players cannot have two tables holding the same fruits. And beware, some fruits are rarer than others! The game ends when the Grandma card is drawn, after which players finish the round. Players count their points, taking into account the special powers displayed on some of the fruit cards and the bonuses given by the Polo card and the Grandma card. An advanced variant with additional carts and a solo mode with virtual player are included.
