About

TAU: A storytelling game where everyone dies happily ever after. is a quick-paced role-playing card game that pits players against their own imaginations and against each other. Powered by a unique set of playing cards you can generate characters, fight against evil and perish – all in thirty minutes or less. In more detail, TAU is played with a standard 52-card deck in which each card also has a distinct character element of a fantasy character. The game goes through three distinct phases: a trick-taking phase, similar to hearts or spades; a character phase, in which players dig through their winnings to quickly create a character; and a role-playing phase, during which the Dealer runs the group of resulting characters through an (admittedly lethal) adventure. Last player standing wins the game.
