Thirty Years of Misery
About this game
Thirty Years of Misery is an easy to play game on the Thirty Years War of 1618-1648 for up to 4 players. Players on the same side must coordinate and work together to win the war, but the victory conditions only allow a single faction within the victorious alliance to win the game. Carddriven mechanics with lots of events, random chit pull based turn order and combat resolution using custom dice ensures a strong narrative and lots of thematic unpredictability. As befitting a bitter religious war, players are striving not only to secure military control over the various political entities of Germany but also to enforce their religious policies in them. —description from the publisher
