Ultimate Backgammon
Steven Strumpf , Charles Phillips , Phil Orbanes Sr. (1997)
About
Ultimate Backgammon adds "swirl dice" (they show the Winning Moves logo on two sides of an otherwise blank d6) and "captains" (they show the Winning Moves logo on one face of a standard man) to the game. The game is played like backgammon, except that the goal is to be the first to bear off your own captain, which starts on top of the 24 point. If the captain is unprotected (either a blot or on top of a point, no matter how many men are below), it may be moved backwards if your opponent throws a swirl. If the opposing captain is not in its inner table when you score a gammon, it counts as a backgammon instead.
