These miniatures rules for the Ancient and Medieval periods were first published in 1978 as "War Cry and Battle Lust." The Second edition in 1981 (now called simply "War Cry") featured poster-sized wall charts printed with the combat tables and terrain effects charts. Second edition War Cry seems to have been the only product ever published in the Judges Guild's "Emperor Series."
