About

Whitetail Wilderness: Woodland Pursuit is a hand management game about hunting whitetail deer in the woodlands of Pennsylvania. Game play is scenario-driven and takes place on a modular board. The player moves around the board and hunts deer by playing cards from their hand to take actions and deploy useful items. Once deer are spotted, cards are used to try and identify the deer while remaining hidden from their keen senses. If a suitable target is identified and the deer haven't detected the hunter and run away, the player can then take a shot. Dice are used to resolve checks for hunting, identifying, hiding, and shooting. The scenario will specify the set up for the modular board as well as the goal of the game. The player's goal will typically involve bagging the largest buck possible before their deck runs out thereby ending the game. This game is by the same designer as Whitetail Wilderness but is a wholly separate game sharing only the title. —description from the designer
