Dossier

Zauber-Zoff is a fantasy card-game best played with 3-4 players, about a kingdom falling apart Each player is playing one scoundrel trying to amass as many riches as possible by winning battles (rounds). Since most of the 100 cards are unique and have interactions with other cards, each game is very different - and new situations arise every time you play. Since everybody draws from the same pile it might seem that it is more about luck than anything else, but a good player will probably best his mediocre opponents in three out of four games. So summon Elves, Goblins, Kings, Princes, Ogres and Dragons to loot Rings, Treasure or take the royal family for ransom. Playing in rounds, you either aim to win a round, just screw things up for the one who does win and/or try to just get as many new cards as possible for a whole gang of critters for you to play in the next. —description from the designer
