About this game

Crisis is a card-based party game set in a fictional, unstable world where nations are constantly pushed to the brink of collapse. Instead of competing for dominance, players lead countries desperately trying to survive waves of unpredictable global and local crises. The setting is grim and dramatic, yet the tone of gameplay remains light and accessible, focusing on clever interaction and tactical card play. The game supports 2 to 4 players, each managing their own country represented by population and territory cards. Players draw from a shared event deck, which contains both useful cards and dangerous Crisis cards. Crisis cards hinder players and stack up, triggering negative effects like losing population or territory. Players use action cards to sabotage others, protect themselves, or manipulate the flow of crises—often forcing opponents to take on crises instead. Strategic card management is essential, as many actions require discarding cards with specific symbols or types to activate powerful effects. The objective is simple: be the last player with any population and territory cards remaining. If a player loses all of either, they are eliminated. Success requires careful hand management, clever use of action cards, and knowing when to press your luck.
