Astrocracy is a socio-political sci-fi game for 3-6 players. It is a competitive, deck building, worker placement, resource management game, where players act as the leader of a galactic nation, seeking to guide humanity in a common direction. Players draft from Ideological Stances that represent the culture of their nation. The combination of Stances selected determines a player’s starting Draw deck. Once the game begins, players will assign their Population to work their planets, yielding the planet’s resources. Players will then Draw their cards and take their actions, such as constructing androids, trading with other players, patronizing Great People, discovering Technologies, Surveying new worlds. Other phases include feeding your people, voting on galactic policies, tracking the happiness of your people, and much more. —Rick Wolford, game's designer
