Dyorle: Origins of the River

About
As the sea falls, civilization rises. Fifteen centuries before the dominance of the Four Great Families in Cargo Empire, the sea begins to recede. Starting from Sanctuaria, rival clans settle newly exposed land and rebuild civilization across an emerging river delta. Across four eras, players expand the shared map, place Clan Members to gather resources, take actions, and construct farms, markets, towers, boats, and canals. Decreed by elders of a past age, different clans must join together to form new settlements by mixing their bulidings, which is done by interlocking miniatures of different colors. Players have to fight for the right to build specific structures, as there can only be one of each in every region. Boats move through the developing waterways to secure valuable building locations, while cards and asymmetric Clan Abilities provide different ways to expand. Players also collect artifacts left behind by an earlier civilization. At the end of the game, players score primarily according to the number and positions of their buildings, their participation in completed settlements, the scoring categories secured by their merchant boats, and the artifacts they collected. The player with the most points wins. Although Dyorle: Origins shares its setting with Cargo Empire, it is a complete standalone game; neither title is required to play the other. —description from the publisher
