About
In Mapaches, players compete to build the highest-scoring gang of raccoons. Each raccoon card has five visible parts with different accessories, and a number that works in two ways: it shows how many matching parts are needed to recruit that raccoon, and how many points it will be worth at the end of the game. On your turn, choose one raccoon from the recruitment area and compare it with a card from your hand. If your card matches the chosen raccoon in at least as many parts as the raccoon’s number, you recruit it into your gang. The card you played from your hand is then left in the recruitment area, becoming a new option for the next players. After recruiting, you may claim one accessory bonus if the raccoon you just recruited has that accessory and your gang is tied for, or has, the most raccoons with it. Play continues until each player has recruited seven or eight raccoons, depending on player count. Players score the values of the raccoons in their gang plus bonus points for any accessory cards they hold. The highest total wins.
