About

Tulip is a strategic card game inspired by the famous 17th-century tulip market bubble. Players take on the role of merchants seeking to maximize their profits by buying and selling tulips while anticipating market fluctuations. Game Mechanics: Each player has a garden where they place Tulip, Black Tulip, or Action cards. On their turn, they must play one card and draw a new one to maintain a hand of four cards. Tulip cards cause the market value to shift, Black Tulips provide a fixed income, and Action cards influence the game by changing tulip values or interacting with opponents. Turn Structure: The player plays a card in their garden. They apply its effect (market value change, action activation, etc.). They draw a new card to refill their hand. Endgame and Victory Conditions: The game ends when a fourth market crash occurs, a fourth Black Tulip is played, or the draw pile is depleted. Players then calculate their total florins based on their tulip holdings and actions. The player with the most florins wins! With constant market shifts and direct player interactions, Tulip is a fast-paced, clever, and accessible game, perfect for fans of bluffing and risk management! -description from artist
