About

Time itself becomes a tool for reaching a foretold happy future. Players are caught in a looping sequence of possibilities, trying to guide events toward the correct outcome without ever fully knowing their own destiny. By reading the actions of their partners and carefully using the power of time travel, the group attempts to undo disastrous moments, shift the flow of play, and arrive together at the future that was meant to be. Chrono Trick is a cooperative trick-taking game for exactly 4 players using a standard 52-card deck in addition to the game’s components. The game uses simple must-follow trick-taking rules with no trump, but each player must end the round with a specific number of tricks. Three players receive hidden goal cards showing their required trick total, but each player can only see the other players’ goals, not their own; the fourth player’s goal is determined by subtracting the visible goal numbers from 13. Players may not discuss goals, hand strength, strategy, or intentions, so they must communicate only through card play. Four time travel cards allow players to cancel a trick after cards are played, return those cards to everyone’s hands, and choose a new lead player, effectively rewinding time and creating a different path toward the shared mission.
