Convoy Escort is a game of modern naval combat; the focus is on convoy operations. The game abstracts the technical details for various equipment types. Counters represent one unit (like a submarine) or many (up to 100 aircraft) or a group of ships. Unit counters are provided, which are generic, representing types rather than named ships. Objectives: NATO must escort convoys to European ports to earn Supply Points. Russia must destroy the convoys and NATO warships to prevent the above. Land combat in Europe is not represented, but depends on Supply Points for determining who will win the war.
