About

Before the game begins, the pieces are placed on the slanted quadrilateral spaces corresponding to their color. At the start, each player is allowed to roll the die three times. If they roll a 6, they may place a piece on the starting space. Rolling a 1 or a 6 allows the player to roll again. Pieces are moved in the direction of the arrows according to the number rolled. Capturing is only permitted within the large circle. A captured piece must return to its starting position; it can only be brought back into play from the starting space once the player rolls a 6. As long as a player has pieces on the board, they may only roll once to start a new piece. They are only permitted to roll three times if their other pieces have reached the finish area and are arranged there in exact sequence (without gaps). If a player feels threatened by a following player, they can move their piece to safety in the "foxhole"—provided the die roll allows it. Pieces cannot be captured while in the foxhole. A player may leave the foxhole once the die roll permits it and the threat has passed. Naturally, pieces may also continue to move while inside the foxhole. Up to five pieces can occupy a single foxhole.
