About

A modern variation of the traditional Japanese form of chess played on an infinite "board" with cubical pieces. Pieces are introduced to the field adjacent to their King and must remain so lest they become "stranded" and thus lost. A piece promotes every time it moves or captures, flipping to the opposite face or to the next most powerful form, respectively. The objective, as in most forms of chess, is to checkmate the opponent's king.
