About

Lucky Kitty is a light, tactile game where playful kittens paw at a basket full of tangled yarn. Each player represents a kitten trying to carefully pull out the right colored threads to complete their personal collection. But yarn isn’t always cooperative: hidden knots can suddenly appear, forcing a kitten to stop and potentially letting an opponent benefit instead. At the start of the game, players receive a face-down deck of yarn cards that secretly defines the colors they will need to collect. On a turn, a player first reveals the top card of their deck, adding it to their display to show which yarn colors they may pull from the basket. Then they choose one of those colors and gently pull on a matching yarn. If a knot appears, the player must immediately let go and their turn ends. If the entire yarn comes out without revealing a knot, the player claims it and places it with the corresponding revealed cards. Players take turns clockwise, balancing memory, risk, and timing as they decide which yarns to attempt and when to press their luck. The game ends immediately when a player has successfully collected all the yarns matching the cards in their deck. That kitten wins the game by completing their collection first. —description from the publisher
