About this game

An interesting variant of the well known board game. Overall the theme is presented quite well with the only glaring "problems" being the Jail, Free Parking, and Go To Jail spaces. The publishers should have gone the extra step to stick with the theme. Penalty Box, Bye Week, and a Referee square would fit in nicely. At least the Chance and Community Chest cards were replaced with Hockey Stick and Puck cards. The bits are comparable to the standard game with minor coloration differences. There are a few property cards such as the "3 goals in 21 seconds" card that could benefit with a factoid explaining its significance. However, I suppose if you went out of your way to buy this edition you already know the details. (Bill Mosienko, '52 Blackhawks, BTW)
