About

Numen's Eye is an abstract dice game for 2 players with a thematic ritualistic framework. Game Board Grid of 5 files × 7 ranks. All squares in the fourth horizontal rank are removed except for one central square, which connects the Lower and Upper halves of the game board. 31 squares in total. The Lower half — 15 squares — belongs to Player A. The Upper half — 15 squares — belongs to Player B. The Central Square — Numen's Eye — is neutral, belongs to no one. Setup Lot. The winner becomes the Conduit of Numen. The Conduit inscribes any number from 1 to 6 into the Numen's Eye. Each player fills all 15 squares of their half with any numbers from 1 to 6 in any order. The game begins when all 31 squares are filled. Turn Flow The first turn goes to the Conduit of Numen. The player rolls a d6. The rolled number indicates which digit they must cross out on their own half. If no such square exists — they cross out nothing. If such a square exists — they cross it out. The turn passes to the opponent. Ending When a player has crossed out all 15 squares of their half, they continue to roll the die on each of their turns: If the rolled number matches the number in the Numen's Eye — they seal the Eye (cross out the Central Square) and win. If it does not match — the turn passes to the opponent. The first to seal Numen's Eye wins. Special Cases If both players have crossed out all numbers on their halves, they take turns rolling the die, trying to match the number in the Eye. If a player has nothing to cross out on their half (all already crossed out or the rolled digit is not present), they simply pass the turn. —description from the designer
