About
Create an instant fun movie night with REELZ, the film card game where every card is a scene from cinema history. From silent classics to modern blockbusters, take turns fitting films into a growing grid of timelines. Scan a card, study a single frame with no title and no year, and work out when it premiered. Then place it: on a line or a column, in the right chronological order, and without repeating a color already there. The first player to get rid of all their cards wins. REELZ needs no app, no account and no subscription. Scan a card with any phone camera, a web page opens with the scene, and that is all it shows. The answer lives only on the back of the card, so the reveal is flipping it over. Open the box, scan a scene and let the movies do the rest. How to play 1. Draw a card and scan its QR code with your phone camera. A web page opens with one scene from the film: no title, no year, nothing but the image. 2. Guess when the film premiered and add the card to the shared grid, on a line or a column, in the correct chronological position. 3. Mind the colors: a color can never repeat within the same line or the same column, so finding a legal spot is a puzzle of its own. 4. Flip the card to check the year. If the placement holds, the card stays in the grid and you are one card lighter. —description from the designer
