[b][i]Truck Takers[/i][/b] is a trick-taking game where players represent rival gangs of truck thieves competing for the biggest "score." But they need to be careful they're not [i]too[/i] successful, lest their thieving ways attract unwanted attention from law enforcement... In this must-follow trick-taking game with variable trump, players play two cards each turn--one face down and one face up--and the highest card wins the trick. Each player will receive one of their opponents' face up cards, with the initial card being selected by the winner. The face-down card paired with the final face-up card taken will determine the new trump suit, while the remaining face-down cards will go to the winner as the "score." That player will then total the number of boxes on each won card and move their score marker accordingly. If their marker crosses the "heat" threshold, they will end up scoring no points for the round! After three rounds, the player with the highest score wins. It's the face down card that gives would-be thieves the promise of control. With it, players can void themselves of the led suit in order to play trump or feed cards to rivals skirting the heat threshold. It's a push-your-luck trick-taking game of bluffing and mind games where one wrong move can send you to the slammer!
