Witches Dominion: Arena Edition is an intense, self-contained tactical magic duelling game that strips the systems of the Witches Dominion full universe down to its purest mechanical bones. Set in a dark fantasy crucible overseen by Archaia the Enchanted Witch, the game features an immersive atmosphere where 4 legendary witches are tested in pure, brutal combat. Players can choose from the four legendary characters (Celestia, Seraphina, Lilith, or Nyx) each representing a completely distinct elemental philosophy and a unique, innate magical resilience formula. Gameplay is fast, direct, and completely eliminates complex board setups or territorial management in favour of focused, tactical card play. The game operates on a high-stakes HP/MP Economy, where witches spend to activate personal character abilities, cast devastating deck spells, or consume alchemical potions. Spellcasting requires a 12 sided die (d12) to clear a specific success threshold. While successful spells trigger the defender's innate passive resilience to automatically reduce incoming magical damage, raw physical combat entirely bypasses these barriers. Repelling a direct physical hit allows the defender to execute a punishing, immediate counterattack, creating an endless, reactive tug of war for momentum. The game includes a dedicated Signature Roll Rule tied to each witch's most powerful starred ability. Activating a Signature allows the player to roll the d12 twice and take the higher result, heavily shifting the mathematical probability of success into the caster's favour and rewarding decisive execution. Strategic depth is found in balancing these high impact character abilities with the fluctuating contents of the shared 77-card Battle Deck, which features a volatile mix of universal and alignment restricted elemental spells, potions, and one-time creature summons. Victory is claimed through one of two distinct, chosen game modes. In Elimination Mode, players engage in a fast, decisive race to reduce all opposing health pools to zero with no respawning permitted. For a deeper tactical experience, Influence Mode shifts the win condition to a race to 20 Influence Points. In this mode, players accumulate permanent points by successfully executing counterattacks, playing rare gem cards, and landing massive damage strikes, while eliminated witches continuously respawn to keep the battlefield in a constant state of fluid warfare. —description from the designer
