About

They are not heroes, but seasoned raiders who believe they’ve mastered the depths. Self-declared kings of the dungeons - until they realize these are not empty ruins. Dungeon Kings is a print-and-play (print-at-home) board game that features clear and intuitive rules designed to be learned in minutes, supported by illustrations, examples, and a compact reference sheet for quick play. It offers layered two-level dungeons that open up multiple strategic routes, letting players switch between floors to find shortcuts, treasure, and tactical advantages. Each hero comes with unique abilities, preferred loot types, combat strength, and an exclusive perk, while each dungeon provides its own mix of traps, enemies, secret paths, and rewards - creating up to 81 possible hero–dungeon combinations. Gameplay is driven by engaging mechanics such as pressure plates, collapsing floors, portals, skeleton guards, and other hazards, combined with a lightweight inventory system and skill tree for accessible yet meaningful decisions. Every run also tells a story, with three unique narrative endings per hero that replace abstract scoring with immersive progression and closure. —description from the designer
