About

Ten races are run. Each race will have eight horses. Each race varies in length from three to ten furlongs. Two factors handicap each horse: the odds of each number being rolled on the special dice vary with the lesser numbers being favored (“One” appears on every die while “Eight” appears on only two dice) and horses carrying less weight have an advantage over more burdened beasts. Players place their minimum $2 bets before each race. The starting gate is placed the appropriate distance from the finish line and the horses are placed in the starting gate according to the weight they are carrying. The dice are rolled and each horse is advanced one space each time its number is rolled. Bets are paid when three horses have finished. Advanced rules lets players own the horses and get a payoff whenever the horse wins. The game comes packaged in a massive box that measures 25” x 14” x 3”. The gameboard folds out to become sixty inches long! The game is named after the legendary jockey who rode two Triple Crown winners.
