Age of Space is an economic space colonization "spaceship placement" game. Age of Space continues the story of "Ryce: Empire of Sand". After exploiting the new energy resource "Ryce" on Mars, the manship is ready for the journey to the stars. You take the role of a space flight nation and your order is to colonize new planets. The players build spaceships and use them to explore new planets and build colonies on them. Colonies produce raw materials or make further processing of goods (example: water and chemicals is processed to medicine). Goods can have different conditions (piece good, bulk goods, fluid goods). The player have to transport these goods from one colony to another or sell them to the market. There are different ships for the different kinds of goods. Players can get influence points for money, for delivery of goods, exploring new planets, the most colonies on one planet, the majority of colonies of one kind of good, and for the most cargo area of one kind of good. The player with the most influence points at the end of the game wins.
